Abstract

The Nursing Informatics Research Team (NIRT) was born from the desire of three Nursing Informatics (NI)scholars who saw the need to work collaboratively to advance nursing informatics education. This group was veryeffective and chose to expand their group extending membership to other faculty scholars, new faculty, and newgraduates in their field. This working group is celebrating its seventh year of practice. Concepts have grown andproven effective and over time the operation of the group has given rise to a model of scholarship. This publicationis a documentation of the current model that can be integrated across any educational institution.
